About Me

Camilla Brooks is a management and intercultural specialist with a focus on equipping modern leaders with the emotional and cultural intelligences necessary to be successful in an increasingly connected world.  Encouraging self-awareness, awareness of others, communication and re-alignment, I encourage a balanced approach to living, working, and managing in intercultural environments.

I was born in England, raised and educated in the United States, and has been living and working in the Philippines for More than 20 years.  My professional management experience spans the non-profit and commercial sectors across a variety of industries.  My educational background includes a BA in East Asian studies from Bates College, an MA in political science with a focus on community development from Illinois State University, and an MBA from the University of Western Australia.

In Manila, I have been training and speaking on leadership topics for more than a decade.  I work primarily with multinational organizations strengthening teams through enhanced alignment, communication, and cultural awareness.  My most recent clients include ADB, Lafarge-Holcim, McKinsey & Co., and GHD.

I have been featured in Business Chamber publications as well as had a regular culture column in the Expat Magazine.  I have been the featured speaker at multiple business breakfasts and with organizations such as People Management Association of the Philippines.

Having married into a Chinese-Filipino family, I now endeavor to raise my young children to have an appreciation for, and an ability to adapt to, both traditionally western and traditionally eastern values.  I am currently researching more on this topic as to how we better prepare our youth for thriving in multicultural environments.
